St Ali

This speculative office project draws upon the rituals and performances associated with coffee making. We envisioned the office as a stage fronting onto Yarra Street, the daily office rituals on display to passers-by. A central lightwell corkscrews down through the building allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the plan. The natural light creating a space for informal gatherings. The communal ground floor becomes a social plane for sharing ideas and creative conversation, a St. Ali coffee kiosk becomes the social focal point of the building.
