Flinders House

A scenic estate located on the Flinders coast-line of Victoria.

The holistically master-plan works within the the land-scape. The master plan presents as a series of pavilions, linked through landscape and each oriented towards site specific views; a creek along the site edge, the coastal cliffs,  mature tree-framed outlook and Philip Island.

Taking advantage of the sloping site, the house is split across two levels; ground floor housing primary day-to-day living/bedroom and a lower garden level which accommodates entertaining areas, pool and tennis court. Building volumes are strategically overlaid to harness visual connections across floors and building wings within a large property.

Estate-wide Sustainability and water sensitive design are coupled with contextually appriopriate materials (rammed earth, timber structures) to strengthen the connection to place.
