Central Club Hotel

Central Club Hotel, a classic pub across the road from the Queen Victoria Market and at the base of our Passivhaus hotel ANMF Hotel, reveals a bar behind the protected heritage facade, unveiled by Daniel Andrews in 2023. Once the Melbourne Cab Bureau in the 1880s, the design pays homage to Victorian carriage interiors using curved forms, heritage colours and considered detailing. There is also a secret basement whiskey haven named the "Bureau Bar" that intertwines historical charm with contemporary appeal, inviting you to savour the fusion of past and present. Our collaboration with Revival, which salvaged timber from the keg roll and structural beams during demolition now forms bespoke joinery and tabletops, narrating a tale of adaptive reuse.
