Caufield Shule

BayleyWard is excited to lead the redevelopment of Caulfield Shule. The Shule is a Religious Centre that has served Melbourne’s Orthodox Jewish community since 1943. It is important to the client that the new facility preserves and celebrates their rich cultural history while also providing for the ever-changing needs of a modern community.

The grand double height internal street architecturally links the historic Synagogue with the new community centre, seamlessly joining the old with the new.

The BayleyWard team worked in a highly collaborative and immersive design environment with the Shule community to understand the cultural and operational requirements of the building, now and in the future.
