Entering through a familiar shopfront and re-purposed Victorian cottage, the design maintains a human and tactile scale. Horizontal embellishments, including exposed slab edges, reference the area and reduce the building’s perceived verticality, ensuring harmony with its context.
Precast panels soften unadorned surfaces, while operable glazing and shading elements in the north façade provide adaptability, regulating daylight, ventilation, and heat gain for enhanced comfort and energy efficiency.
